Right Proper is the recording project of Oakland singer-songwriter, producer, and composer AK Jameson. Created as a home for her original music, the project explores the space between alternative rock, pop, and grunge without feeling bound by genre.

No collaborator has had a greater influence on Right Proper's sound than guitarist John Cowart, whose lead guitar playing, co-writing, and co-production have helped define much of the project's recorded sound. His playing has become inseparable from many of Jameson's songs, making him one of the most important creative voices behind Right Proper.

Jameson has also collaborated with renowned drummer Ian K. Shields, whose musicianship brought depth and precision to the project's recordings, and with Jane Mendonca, whose contributions as a performer and songwriter continue to enrich Right Proper's music.
